My name is Thomas Giustini I'm an Artist, Composer, Filmmaker and Fashion Designer from Rome, Italy, I am 23 years old amd recently I created an album called "COMPOSITIO." This is a debut work: an entire Album of 17 tracks and 17 music videos created, envisioned, and developed entirely by me with a standalone feature-length Film made from the Music Videos themselves combined.
"COMPOSITIO" is an ALBUM but also a full Experience, these compositions are created and played by me directly on keyboard, where every sound you hear is played in real-time with my own sampled voice fed into synth and moments of Fretless Bass and Electric Guitar added, plucked.
The creative process has been extended and been completely contaminated across all the music videos which are Directed, Animated, Edited also by me: 17 as 17 are the same tracks. Everything is also, after it, combined into an entire feature-length film. Like a polyform and mutating organism.
This Album travels through various art Mediums, and completely communicates with each other beyond existing in a standalone only form.
To me this album means my Life,
it was made during a particular moment, felt after a long time,
an ancient idea that It had existed within me for a long time but i never made it Real. Until one day it came out all of a sudden, like this, a Flow.
This is my Debut Album as a 23-year-old, but I've been making music as a self-taught artist for a long time, without ever publishing anything...
This Album came out after a personal study of my own sound, of myself.
Long Years… Maybe all my Life…
Personal but also Intrapersonal and Universal.
Over the course of my Lifetime my sound will continue and will always evolve even more.
COMPOSITIO is part of this-of a beginning, of me, and i'm happy to share it!
I don't believe in definitions.
Definitions only ruin the experience that is Life itself.
Everyone can try to define themselves properly, but in front of LIFE itself, it becomes difficult to give it only one meaning.
"A beginning, part of a source.
This is COMPOSITIO for me"

It began with a Soviet-inspired radio station, 311.wiki. This site streamed a radio broadcast lasting 311 hours, counting down from 311 to 0.
During the stream, voices and codes could be heard, specifically in Morse code pointing to a different site along with a robotic voice reading the novel by the Comte de Lautréamont (Isidore Lucien Ducasse), The Songs of Maldoror. The reading carried the same message as the Morse code, but hidden within a Null Cipher woven through the reading of the novel.
This continued until the end of the radio stream.
311 hours.
Throughout the broadcast, various ciphers were transmitted which, once deciphered, pointed toward the first site: 311311311311.quest.
From there, a drawing appeared, with a cipher hidden under it.
This pattern repeated across a series of drawings — all made by me — each concealing a different and increasingly difficult cipher, for a total of 17 times: 17 websites, 17 drawings, 17 different ways of deciphering them.
The 1st, in Base64 beneath the drawing, led to the second site, with its 2nd drawing and 2nd cipher in Ascii85, repeated once upon itself. The 3rd came with its drawing and a Nihilist Cipher using the key "311" (three one one). The 4th followed with its drawing and cipher, also in Nihilist Cipher. The 5th, with its drawing and cipher, again in Nihilist Cipher. The 6th, the same. The 7th introduced a Gronsfeld Cipher with its drawing and cipher. The 8th came with its drawing and a Gronsfeld Cipher repeated once upon itself. The 9th, with its drawing and a Gronsfeld Cipher repeated twice upon itself. The 10th, repeated three times. The 11th, repeated four times. The 12th, repeated five times. The 13th, repeated six times. The 14th, repeated seven times. The 15th, repeated eight times, still in Gronsfeld Cipher with their own drawings and then the 16th repeated nine time in Gronsfeld Cipher and the last one, the 17th. The 17th with a different cipher entirely: the Trithemius Ave Maria Cipher.
The 17th cipher brought to another page, the "bomb timer" page s222-s00fff.watch
This page had instead 17 bomb looking type of timers with players that unlocked once the timer went to 0, played the songs itself with the music videos.
Every hour. the first after 3.
From the 1st to the 17th.
The last timer is the 18th.
A red timer that brought to this page we are now on.

ON COMPOSITIO
by JONATHAN GIUSTINI
It appears this Alifib who does not know the sound of sirens. A
contrappasso to harmony, to disaffection, to solitude. A
reduction of modesty, of night, of breath. An impact wave that looks at Robert Wyatt as at Orlando di Lasso, at
Monteverdi, at certain Gregorian Chants and at a new way of
writing on the staff. Without any violin key, without a specific time and tempo. It plays then with the number seventeen which is full of echoes and references. A musical harmony in the form of a long suite born from voice, from pure flatus vocis and thus from breath and then filtered through a writing process that says to have invented himself. It does not properly include only electronic music and certainly nothing of the much acclaimed artificial intelligence. Even if one could think of the type now: oh great mirror write for me a long suite of seventeen movements that start from me and go through the cosmos, soundscapes, angels and death. He seems to me to be caught off guard at the beginning that he caresses his hair and thus frames the pores of his skin, the tender and evasive gaze, the melancholy of an age you will never find again. And so time stops and a new overflowing, heart-rending musical coming-of-age novel is composed. A Bildungsroman made of sounds and images, an open work, an electronic work that would fit well in the Electric Dreams at the Tate Gallery in London where the Vasulka monitors taught us to treat them as living instruments to play with electric waves. Where the dream machine of Brian Gysin meets the moving works of Jean Tinguely, where the last of the bards, Heinze Mach, travels through deserts in search of a luminous meteorite and encounters Hal 2000 gone mad beyond Earth's orbit. Or rather the software Aaron by Harold Cohen that gave life to autonomous drawings. There is in Compositio all the melancholy and despair of a poet, the scream and storm of a grim era that does not want to be understood and seized, and all the solitude of a generation which, beyond its universe, is searching
for a way to communicate. The artist splits, parcels his body and paints the screen's retina with perhaps unconscious memories of Hartung, Kline, a Twombly, a young Vedova. Then he breaks through the canvas with his body, last epigone genetically modified of a Gutai we cannot forget. Stretches the sound and gaze pictograms to the extreme in the chromatic spectrum that comes out from the notes, as one used to say, giving color to sound, giving sound to color. Old legends? No! A universe of sound and light dense and liquid, evanescent and compact, where symbolic effectiveness permeates the sometimes exhausting dilation of musical time. A music that has obligations of sight and thus shows a sound capable of exalting our optical quality, our point of view, pushing the understanding of a generation of twenty-somethings beyond the foreground towards probably a new horizon. Everything is luminous yet dense, opaque yet glistening, physical and liquid. Untouchable like a membrane we do not know. The great psychological and poetic quality of these Compositio constantly reverses in the course of the work into an electronic optical adherence that extends our feeling and signals to us the impossibility of solving the dilemma of age, the foreground of the figures which indeed escape continuation. Vanishing is dying. It's a young artist who has seen the angels, touched their wings and understood they make a lot of noise, almost chaos. Therefore one should listen/view Compositio with the constancy and tenderness of not looking away, that will not put you to sleep, that will not hypnotize you, that will not awaken you, that you can never truly participate in or be inside. The sound and images are given only through contiguity, they have no gradients. For this reason the work presents itself as a new vision to be heard and observed for a long time.
Filtered, cooled, transferred. Re-sent. To us.
Filtrata, raffreddata, trasferita. Reinviata. A noi.
